8. If you set the Time format to be 12-Hour, press or on the handset, or press
or on the telephone base to highlight AM or PM, or press 2 for AM or
7 for PM. Press SET to save. You hear a conrmation tone.
note
The setting sequence of Step 3 and Step 4 will reply on the date format you set.
If the date and time are not set when a message is recorded, the system
announces, “Time and day not set,” before each message plays.
8.7 Auto Answer
This feature allows you to answer a call by lifting the handset off the base if you have
set the Auto answer On.
To reset the Auto answer:
Press MENU on the handset in idle mode to enter the main menu.
Press or to highlight Settings, then press SELECT.
Press or to highlight Auto answer, then press SELECT.
Press or to choose On or Off.
Press SELECT to save. You hear a conrmation tone.
8.8 Rename Handset or the Telephone Base
You can change the name of each handset, the new name of each handset cannot
exceed 11 characters.
To rename a handset or telephone base:
Press MENU on the handset when it is not use.
Press or on the handset, or press or on the telephone base
to highlight Settings, then press SELECT.
Press or to on the handset to highlight Rename handset, then press
SELECT. The screen displays RENAME HANDSET.
OR
Press or on the telephone base to highlight Rename base, then
press SELECT. The screen displays RENAME BASE.
4. Use the dialling keys to edit the name.
Press on the handset or on the telephone base to erase a character.
Press and hold on the handset or on the telephone base to erase all
characters.
Press or on the handset to move the cursor to the right or left, or press
or on the telephone base to move the cursor to the left or right.
6. Press SAVE. You hear a conrmation tone.
