These beginner wooden puzzles have three large pieces to help children recognize and identify

three basic animals. As children play with the puzzle, they practice eye-hand coordination and

problem solving to properly place each piece. The large knobs and simple shapes assist children

with physical limitations to successfully complete a puzzle. Play can begin by having children

remove the pieces from the base. Talk about and look at the pictures underneath, bang the pieces

together or on a table to further develop hand grasping and coordinated movements. To extend

play, use the pieces as fun stencils to trace on paper.
