The document to which this cover statement is attached is submitted to a Formulating Group or
sub-element thereof of the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) in accordance with the
provisions of Sections 6.4.1–6.4.6 inclusive of the TIA Engineering Manual dated March 2005, all of
which provisions are hereby incorporated by reference.
Abstract
Panasonic, as Manufacturer, states that S/N method is more beneficial than "Noise A-
Weighted" method for the product productivity, designing point of view and user
experience.
We would like to offer consideration on S/N measurement method and the limit value
>40dB at Signal to Highest SFI Ratio.
Panasonic cannot comment on the "Noise A-Weighted” method that is only a theoretical
procedure.
Please note:
1. Subjective evaluation collected by persons who use hearing aids to compare
and evaluate sounds of several samples from each manufactures.
2. Objective evaluation is based on the measurement results from the TR41.3
draft PN-3-0219 (TIA1083.
